October 23, 2017, 3:01pm Grand Theft 24 year old Caucasian male, 6’2," was looking at watches with a salesperson When the employee turned away, the suspect was captured on camera placing a watch in his pants The salesperson alerted the loss prevention officer on duty, who immediately intervened The suspect denied any wrongdoing and was brought into the back room for further questioning While in custody, the young man was very quiet but insistent on his innocence Upon frisking, a large, hard object was detected near suspect’s groin Following up with a strip search, the loss prevention officer was able to recover the watch in question from the suspect’s underwear An understanding was reached by the suspect and the loss prevention officer, and he was released without involvement of law enforcement $52500 retail value recovered for the store without incident
